What is the procedure for electric starting the KLIPPO Comet Lawn Mower?
To electric start your KLIPPO Comet Lawn Mower:
- If starting for the first time, connect the battery cable.
- Follow the starting instructions for models without electric start, specifically points 1 and 2.
- Turn the ignition key on the handle clockwise.
- Hold the key in this position until the engine starts.
- Release the key when the engine starts and move the controls to the operating position.

Why is my KLIPPO Comet Lawn Mower not starting?
If your KLIPPO Comet Lawn Mower does not start, check the following:
- Ensure there is fresh petrol in the tank.
- Control that the brake cable is correctly adjusted.
- Check that the spark plug is not fouled with soot and that the gap is correct (0.7-0.8 mm).

You will know when to sharpen or maintain the blade when the blades are worn, as this will result in an uneven cut and the grass appearing yellow in the section surface.

- Ensure the security bail is in operating position.
- Give the starting string a powerful lug.
- If starting in cold weather, you might need to repeat the procedure. If there is too much petrol, try starting with the throttle control in idle position.

How often should I check the air filter on my KLIPPO Comet Lawn Mower?
The air cleaner element should be cleaned every three months or every twenty-five hours, whichever comes first. Fill up to the full graduation mark on the dipstick, but do not fill above it.
