“This park is a wonderful place for kids! Visit to join in the fun at this whimsical playground that draws in hundreds of families every year.
While you’re browsing shops at Cannery Row, walking Old Fisherman’s Wharf, visiting the Point Pinos Lighthouse, or walking the Monterey Walking Path of History and touring historic buildings, your kids can get through knowing their reward for being good all day is LOTS of time at an awesome playground. There is also a rope bridge that helps add to the excitement.
Always be aware of where they are playing, especially as they navigate climbing structures or equipment.
By observing them closely, you can help ensure their safety and provide encouragement for them to safely engage in their play. Begin with the massive playground structures where kids can climb, slide, and explore. For those who enjoy imaginative play, the themed structures inspired by the comic strip will inspire creativity.
The park is along Pacific Grove, easily accessible by various roads. Early birds get the best parking spots and can enjoy the park before it becomes crowded. Visitors can drive and find ample parking spaces adjacent to the entrance.

Each installation is thoughtfully crafted, ensuring that every child can find something exciting to try out. On more than one occasion, Brian and I have enjoyed a peaceful, delicious meal while sitting on a grassy hill under a shade tree while the kids played.There are well-maintained restrooms at the playground entrance, making things so much easier.
As previously mentioned, the spring and fall months are the most pleasant in terms of weather, providing mild temperatures that are perfect for outdoor play.
Weekdays often see a lower number of visitors, especially in the mornings. We saw no trash or graffiti when we visited the park.
